It's not always easy to research genealogy or information about your family and ancestors but there are a couple of places to get started.
1. Talk to your immediate families and get as much information about grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts and uncles.
2. Check out ancestry.com, a great place to look at census records and find out about your family.
3. LDS.org is also a great, easy, and free place to search for genealogy information about your families names, places where they've lived, etc.
There's more to it than that. The fun about genealogy is that you can keep digging, and digging, about your family's history. It is fun to learn about your ancestors, especially since they have worked to make you and your current, immediate family possible.
