I agree with you totally, as parent you are the only one who knows your child properly. You know what the child likes, what they don't like, there social behavior, if they have any development disability, if they are allergic to any food and many more.
Since the parent spends time with child in a free environment, they can be able to learn there child and help them where necessary. I am a parent and i think I know my child enough to understand her.
