When a parent dies without a will, are the adult children entitled to anything or does the spouse keep everything? My dad died several months ago. I really wasn't worried about getting anything from him. But it has come to my attention that he gave my grandmother a large sum of money before he died. She gave that back to my stepmother. The strange thing is is that I wasn't supposed to find out about any of this. Is there any way that I can find out about a will without starting a family feud? I only wonder because it was supposed to be such a big secret. If I was trying to get my hands on money I would understand them not wanting me to know. |
