Why isn't Cain listed in Adams genealogy?

Maybe he wasn't Cains father?Your views please.

Adam's genealogy is presented as far as I know, to show the line of Adam to Noah. To show how Noah was directly related to Adam. The line does not include Cain, it includes Seth, his brother because Noah was a direct descendant of Seth.

I agree with what sojourner says, the line that is important is the line to Noah and then on to Jesus, Cain is not part of that line, Seth is, so thats the line that Adams genealogy would be concerned about...
